My love of interiors and architecture drew me to design and build a shell house in our garden in North Yorkshire. Growing up in Dallas, Texas then moving to London I am using the experience and skills developed throughout my career, involving art, fashion and interior design, I have added my fascination with shells to create shelled interiors.
Shell decoration does not have to be exclusive to coastal locations because the textural qualities and subtle colours lend themselves to any environment. The framed panels offer an alternative to paintings and can be tailored to the client’s required size and colours.
Bespoke commissions include summer houses, follies, orangeries, loggias, restaurants, pool houses, interior walls, furniture, alcoves and interior accessories.
Once a commission has been placed, it is made by hand in my studio in North Yorkshire before being installed in its final location.
The best materials are used throughout and the skills of a top joiner are evident in every piece, which will be made to last for generations. Due to the bespoke nature of my work, I am also able to include personal shell collections.
To ensure that every commission is protected and looks at its best day and night, I can organise the technical installation of lighting systems, sockets and air vents for fireplaces.
